This is a non-exhaustive list of resources largely separate from our Member centres that may be helpful to anyone seeking mental health supports related to sexual assault. These programs may be run federally, provincially, or locally.

Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres Across Ontario there are 37 treatment centres dedicated to providing comprehensive, trauma-specific care and treatment to victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence. 24/7 Navigation Line: 1-855-NAV-SADV (628-7238). 

Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres (OCRCC) is a network of sexual assault centres across Ontario. Our membership includes sexual assault centres from across Ontario, offering counselling, information and support services to survivors of sexual violence, including childhood sexual abuse and incest.

Talk4Healing is one of Distress and Crisis Ontario members that we wanted to recognize, they offer support and resources 24/7 through talk, text, and chat 1-855-554-HEAL. Their services are fully grounded in Indigenous culture, wisdom, and tradition offered in many languages.

Fem’aide is a confidential, French-speaking support service for women in Ontario, available 24/7 by phone, text and chat to support and connect victims and survivors of violence to community services. FEM’AIDE Ligne de soutien pour femmes violentées (French): 1-877-336-2433.

Little Warriors Ontario Child Abuse Resources If you suspect that a child has been abused or neglected, it’s your duty to report this to a children’s aid society (CAS). Click here to select your nearest city in the drop down below to find a CAS near you and make the call.

Assaulted Women’s Help Line (AWHL) provides a safe space, free of judgment anytime, day or night, to support, listen and guide women who have experienced any type of abuse anywhere in Ontario. To provide free, confidential and anonymous crisis counselling, emotional support, information and referrals via telephone in up to 200+ languages from a feminist perspective. You can call their helpline: 1-866-863-0511 or TTY 1-866-863-7868.

Male Survivors of Sexual Violence/Abuse The Government of Ontario Support Services for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse program provides help for male survivors of sexual abuse, both recent and historical. The program is the first of its kind in Canada and is delivered by agencies across the province. 24-hour, multilingual, toll-free phone line for immediate crisis and referral services for provincial crisis and support line: 1-866-887-0015

Canadian Centre for Men and Families locations in Western Ontario, Ottawa, Toronto and York regions, this is an inclusive registered charitable mental health agency dedicated to supporting men, fathers, boys and their families who have experienced life challenges. We support our clients through a broad range of programs, delivered in a safe and welcoming space.

Hope for Wellness for Indigenous Peoples available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Both telephone and online chat services are available in English and French. Telephone support is also available upon request in: Cree; Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin); and Inuktitut. (Note: Supports in Cree, Ojibway, and Inuktitut are not available 24/7, so you may need to call in to find out the next time that a language-speaker will be available.) 1-855-242-3310
